Rockland Real Estate improves in the month of September

There’s some good news today for those looking to sell their home and others concerned about retaining their property’s value. New York State Association of Realtors has announced an increase in September 2008 single-family Rockland home sales compared to the same month last year. Rockland home sales for that period rose 10%. Statewide figures did not reflect an upward trend, going down 4% year over year. Orange and Westchester counties did not fair well, each experiencing a decline in September ’08 compared to September ’07 of 15 or more percentage points.
