April Unemployment Numbers are released for the Hudson Valley
STATE D.O.L RELEASES LAST APRIL’S UNEMPLOYMENT FIGURES
New York’s Department of Labor released unemployment data today illustrating the economic downturn has begun to affect the Hudson Valley. The report shows a loss of 9,100 private sector jobs in the past month.
New York State's unemployment rate, after seasonal adjustment, was down .1 percent from March. The only industries with job gains are educational and health services.
